Under the visionary leadership and artistic direction of Gennaro Cimmino, Körper has, over the past 22 years, consistently identified and nurtured emerging talents and new voices within the Italian contemporary dance scene. Today, the Centre’s repertoire includes more than fifteen productions currently touring nationally and internationally.

Following the untimely passing of its founder and Artistic Director, the Körper Dance Production Centre will continue to carry forward his vision by entrusting its artistic direction to a collective of professionals who have long collaborated with Körper and played an active role in the Centre’s growth and development.
Since its inception, Körper has been dedicated to exploring the many expressive languages of dance, theatre, music, and contemporary art. The new artistic collective reflects this enduring commitment, bringing together the diverse artistic perspectives that have always shaped the Centre’s identity.
Alongside four established figures in the field—Franco Silvestro, Andrea Lyn Baker, Vito Pizzo, and Susanna Sastro—the collective also includes two emerging professionals under the age of 35: Rebecca Curti and Claudia Cimmino.
ABOUT KÖRPER
Founded in 2003 by Gennaro Cimmino, Körper is now a Dance Production Centre dedicated to exploring the many expressive languages of dance, theatre, music, and contemporary art. The Centre’s activities focus on the production and promotion of dance as an art of the body—a privileged and universal language of communication—while fostering dialogue and exchange with artistic communities across Europe and beyond.
Through a careful understanding of its local context, the Centre is committed to promoting quality, innovation, artistic research, and the dissemination of dance at both national and international levels.
