I Never Meant to Cause You Pain is a journey through change, understood not only as physical transformation, but as the construction and deconstruction of identity.

Each layer of our identity represents an element that settles within and around us: education, social expectations, imposed roles, trauma, repressed desires, illusions, insecurities. At first, these layers are subtle, almost imperceptible; then they accumulate, becoming suffocating, until they lead to a state of complete and claustrophobic closure.

The bodies stiffen, fragment and distort until they become a single deranged organism, desperately trying to find itself while losing its way in a spiral of exasperation. The moment of crisis is both physical and mental: a nervous, almost psychotic explosion.

But destruction, as so often happens, becomes a space for rebirth through the necessary process of emptying oneself in order to make room for a new possibility of existence: more vulnerable, yet also more authentic.
