“Every day, I begin again.

I repeat the gesture, like a call.

The body knows that something is coming,

but time does not open.

Waiting is full, alive,

a breathing boundary.

I never arrive,

and yet, each time,

I am a little closer to you.”

Last Movement Of Hope is a wide-ranging project that brings together a series of micro-dances, each of which can exist as a short, autonomous piece or be combined with the others to create a longer performance.

The project was born from a desire to explore and tell the human experience through dance, in all its complexity: our relationships with ourselves and with others, our fears, our struggles, and above all, the hope that drives us forward.

I imagine this work as a book — a container of different stories — in which each chapter represents a moment of creative exploration, an emotion, an encounter, or a reflection.

Each chapter can exist independently or enter into dialogue with the others, like a journey embracing past, present, and future in a continuous search for meaning and answers.

The fourth chapter, entitled Attesa (Waiting), explores the ritual.

With this work, I wish to explore the intertwining of patience and desire — a silent, cyclical act that shapes our experiences. In waiting, stillness and movement coexist.

This chapter seeks to reveal how waiting itself can become a space of transformation: a suspended time that transfigures everyday life, filling the present with a silent intensity, like a held breath.

In the pause, we find meaning and discover a new depth in what we are becoming.
