Compagnie MF
Maxime Freixas e Francesco Colaleo

Compagnie MF is a French contemporary dance and physical theatre company founded by Maxime Freixas and Francesco Colaleo, performers, choreographers, and teachers who graduated from the National Centre for Dance in Lyon (CNSMD Lyon). The company is supported by the DRAC Auvergne–Rhône-Alpes, the Institut Français (France, Morocco, Poland, Italy, and Hungary), the Lyon Metropolitan Authority, and the City of Lyon.
Compagnie MF develops artistic and educational projects with a strong human and social dimension. At the heart of Maxime and Francesco’s artistic research is the desire to establish a direct dialogue with audiences, making the artistic experience accessible to everyone. Their choreographic language is characterised by humour, physical commitment, and a keen attention to rhythm and dynamic use of space. Alongside its creative work, the company also leads an extensive programme of educational activities inspired by its artistic practice.
Compagnie MF has presented its work in Belgium, France, Germany, Guadeloupe, Italy, Morocco, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Switzerland, and Hungary, taking part in major international festivals and events. In 2023, the company participated in the Avignon OFF Festival with its latest creation, Ça ira.
Compagnie MF is currently an Associate Artist at INSA Lyon for the 2024–2026 period.
