NICO, DESERTSHORE
Since 2021, Körper has supported the choreographic projects of Giovanfrancesco Giannini and is once again supporting him in the production of his new work, Nico_Desertshore, which will premiere in an outdoor version as part of IRA Platform in Soverato and in a theatrical version in autumn 2026.
Nico_Desertshore is a dance concert born from an artistic exploration inspired by the music, lyrics and archive of Christa Päffgen, better known as Nico. Tracks from her cult album Desertshore (1970) form the musical score of the performance, in which the dancers’ bodies give shape to a dense and unsettling visual universe. Dark atmospheres, esoteric visions, danse macabre, inner storms and an ancestral sense of solitude inhabit the stage, evoking an unprecedented and desolate imaginary landscape.
What will your donation support?
The production support received from Art Bonus donors will help cover part of the expenses incurred by Körper for the technical residency at the Sèvelin 36 venue in Lausanne.
For the promotion of contemporary Italian and Campanian creativity abroad, this residency represents a key opportunity to facilitate the international circulation of the choreographer’s work, while also serving as a prestigious milestone for the Körper Centre.
The Art Bonus is a tax incentive for those who love culture and wish to contribute to its preservation and enhancement.
Thanks to the Art Bonus, anyone who makes a cash donation to support public cultural heritage and the performing arts can benefit from a tax credit equal to 65% of the donated amount, which can be claimed over a period of just three years (Law No. 106/2014, as subsequently amended).
The 2016 Stability Law made the Art Bonus permanent, establishing a 65% tax incentive for charitable donations in support of culture.
Donating is simple: you just need to make a bank transfer or use another traceable payment method, specifying the following information in the payment reference:
Art Bonus, name of the beneficiary organisation, purpose of the donation, donor’s Tax Code/VAT number.
To claim the tax credit, keep the document that evidences the charitable donation, such as the bank transfer receipt, the statement for a credit, debit or prepaid card payment, or the receipt issued by the beneficiary organisation where applicable.
