Inspired by the cast known as The Lovers, this creation seeks to bring to light a love abruptly interrupted by the overwhelming force of nature, yet preserved for eternity. Eternal is the embrace in which the two figures were discovered, and within which they remain forever enclosed.

Over the years, many have speculated about their identity: a man and a woman, a mother and child, or two young men. For a long time, the cast remained hidden from public view, in the hope that every uncertainty surrounding who they were might one day be resolved.

What is certain is that love has kept them united for more than two thousand years, outlasting death itself.

We leave it to the audience’s imagination to dream of an absolute love.
